Milie Monical Obituary (1929 - 2022)

Milie Irene Monical, 92, of Kinmundy passed away at 1:43 p.m. Sunday, April 3, 2022, at the SSM Health St. Marys Hospital in Centralia. Milie was born on May 11, 1929, in Centralia, the daughter of William Izer and Minnie Rosa (Borgwardt) Beck. She married William Jacob Monical on February 9, 1950, in Bloomington, Illinois and they shared 27 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on April 1, 1977. Milie was a homemaker, and in her later years worked at the Kinmundy-Alma School District. Mrs. Monical was a lifetime member of the Brown Christian Church, where she had been a Sunday School teacher at for over 35 years. She loved to sew and crochet, and work on wordsearches. Her biggest love in life was her family, she cared deeply for her children and grandchildren. Milie is survived by her children; Alan Eugene (Becky) Monical, of Kinmundy, Connie Lynn (Greg) Morris, of Kinmundy, 4 grandchildren; William Joseph (Amy) Morris, of St. Louis, Missouri, Anna Nicole (Riley) Diss, of Alma, Kyle Alan (Elisia) Monical, of Kinmundy, Katelynn Sue (Zach) Tate, of Iuka, 4 great grandchildren; Locklyn Monical, Trey Parker, Madison Parker, Hudson Tate. She is also survived by a sister; Lena Powless, of Byron, Illinois, a brother; Earl Beck, of Anderson, Indiana. Milie was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter; Mallory Monical, 2 brothers; Oral Franklin Beck, Donald Ray Beck, and a sister; Vera Newhausen. Funeral services honoring the life of Milie will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 8, 2022, at the Brown Christian Church, rural Kinmundy, with Shannon Bopp officiating, and burial to follow at the Phillips Cemetery, rural Kinmundy. Visitation will be held on Friday at the church where friends may call from 12 noon to 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Milies memory to Brown Christian Church or the Phillips Cemetery, and will be accepted at the church or the funeral home.
